THE LOUIS-PASTEUR FRENCH SCHOOL OF BOGOTÁ, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VIRTUAL4, A MEMBER OF THE GAIA CLUSTER FROM THE BASQUE COUNTRY, WILL CREATE THE FIRST MULTI-USER IMMERSIVE CLASSROOM FOR A SCHOOL IN COLOMBIA.

As part of its educational innovation strategy and aiming to position itself as a leading institution in technology, the Louis-Pasteur French School of Bogotá will implement an immersive space where modern learning dynamics will take place in a multi-user virtual world, where teachers and students can move naturally, collaborate, and share virtual spaces.

The partnership between Virtual4 and the Louis-Pasteur French School of Bogotá is a clear example of the vision of Maxime Prieto, the school’s principal, who seeks to push students to make accelerated strides towards excellence. The joint actions of this agreement within the framework of Immersive Technologies will not only open a new pedagogical horizon but also make the school an international benchmark in the education sector for incorporating this type of technology into the educational process.

The Multi-User Immersive Classroom will mark a milestone for the school, allowing both students and teachers to have the content and technology necessary to complement and facilitate the learning of various primary and secondary subjects through a multifunctional collaborative environment with different exploration possibilities, enabling them to walk, collaborate, and learn in a completely unique virtual environment.

"Immersive technologies, in this case, in an interesting collaborative multi-user model, will open a new complement in education, positioning the Louis-Pasteur French School of Bogotá as an international reference."

One of the first immersive contents the classroom will feature is a multi-user virtual reality development that references the work of the renowned Colombian artist Pedro Ruiz. An interactive dreamlike scenario that will transport users to live a unique experience.

Virtual4, a company with a presence in Spain, Colombia, and Mexico, will implement the first Multi-User Immersive Classroom for schools, where users can interact with virtual reality content simultaneously in the same physical space, with absolute precision and freedom of movement. This space will be located within the facilities of the Louis-Pasteur French School of Bogotá and will be available starting September 2024.
